Mar 17, 2026, Mozilla released a blog post titled "More reasons to love Firefox: What’s new now, and what’s coming soon
" [1]
Reading some of it makes the title wrong, its more reasons to hate Firefox, let me explain:
The difference is so minor, some icons here and there and minor layout changes, was I living in a cave for thinking firefox settings panel was already easy to use.
NEXT !
now about the "sketch arrangements", first things first, mozilla is already known for this, recall when they changed their data collection policy? [2]
Also the trust in those "arrangements" is equal, trusting mozilla or trusting some random VPN is equally risky, so that's a useless move.
NEXT !
so this isn't some feature that saves you from XSS vulnerabilities, its basically an API for developers to make safer sites, which means as of now, its useless.
NEXT !
I already have stupid gemini on every google search removed using ublock origin, the garbage AI already summorizes stuff, so does mozilla want to compete with that? like why don't you remain calm like meta does? with their meta AI being the humiliation of LLMs.
Anyhow, I won't test nor use it, and assuming I want to use an AI to summorize stuff, I would use some top tier stuff, not from a browser company.
NEXT !
So you mean I don't have to like, drag a tab to the side and letting the OS put both side by side?
Ohh the effort saving, you saved my time, Thank you mozilla.
Jokes aside, this is garbage, like seriously, building an already built in every OS feature? reinventing the wheel? that's bad engineering.
NEXT !
seriously who asked for this?
NEXT PLEASE !
Imagine you are so serious about privacy, you hate big tech collecting data, training their A.Is, you hear the news that Department of war is forcing A.I companies to sign contracts [4]
You seriously FEAR mass servillance and the on growing dictatorshiping of the western goverinments and their imposing of control using electronic means.
All of that in your mind, you go and meet a stupid mascot because "hehe cute".

Reading some of it makes the title wrong, its more reasons to hate Firefox, let me explain:
beside not giving any screenshot, I wanted to be accurate in my roasting so I shoved the nightly version into my hard disk and executed it, and I compared the settings panel with version 140.5.0esr,An easier way to personalize Firefox
The Settings section has been improved with clear navigation and search, so it’s simpler to customize Firefox. Available soon in Firefox Nightly.
The difference is so minor, some icons here and there and minor layout changes, was I living in a cave for thinking firefox settings panel was already easy to use.

Beside no body asked for this anyway, is the 50 GB only for these 4 countries? like are you RACISTS? what about the poor people living in netherlands or the starving children of spain? have you considered the homeless in hungry?Privacy upgrades, built in
A free built-in VPN is coming to Firefox. Free VPNs can sometimes mean sketchy arrangements that end up compromising your privacy, but ours is built from our data principles and commitment to be the world’s most trusted browser. It routes your browser traffic through a proxy to hide your IP address and location while you browse, giving you stronger privacy and protection online with no extra downloads. Users will have 50 gigabytes of data monthly in the U.S., France, Germany and U.K. to start. Available in Firefox 149 starting March 24.

This is more depressing news than a happy one, because firefox is FIRST to impliment this XSS protection API, it means very few sites, if any has it implimented yet, because firefox isn't even the most popular browser. We also recently shared that Firefox is the first browser to ship Sanitizer API, a new web security standard that blocks attacks before they reach you.
so this isn't some feature that saves you from XSS vulnerabilities, its basically an API for developers to make safer sites, which means as of now, its useless.

I am not against saving time, but the expected result from this tool is decreased brain [3], and basically loss of details,New tools to get more done
Smart Window, previously called AI Window, uses AI to give quick help while you browse — like quick definitions, article summaries, product comparisons and more — without leaving the page. It’s completely optional to use and will be opt in. Waitlist now open for updates and early access.

I guess people are going to uninstall their note taking software, possibly also trashing their pen and papers.Tab Notes let you add notes to any tab, another tool to help with multitasking and picking up where you left off. Available in Firefox Labs 149 starting March 24.

Probably a community of ants or something, but I assume even ants know what a "best browser" should look like. We’re solely focused on building the best browser, and our features over the next few months and beyond are driven by the feedback from our community,”
Listening to the whales that is.And as always, we’ll keep listening
That mascot is cringe at best, and complete idiocy for anyone who seriously cares about privacy and picked firefox for one reason or another.Firefox is also getting a fresh new look across our website, product and beyond. This includes updated themes, icons, and visual refinements across Firefox,
...
You also may have noticed something else showing up in Firefox recently: our new mascot, Kit. Kit is your companion in this new internet era, our way of making Firefox’s support visible and bringing a little warmth and familiarity as you browse.

Get lost.Choosing Firefox means using the internet on your own terms: options when you want them, safety when it matters most, and tools that make the web easier to navigate.
