Post examples of media manipulation

This easy one just popped up in my feed so might as well:

Rosja uderza w Polskę. "Absolutna nieodpowiedzialność"

The translation of the title is "Russia strikes Poland. "Absolute irresponsibility"". And guess what? Zero mention of any STRIKING inside the article. I was sure it's going to be some rocket or something like that. Even kind of got scared because I fully expected the gov to escalate... But the "strike" is simply Russia criticizing some Polish military exercises near Russia's border.

Anyway, see if you can do better. I will be interested to see how crappy media reporting gets over the world. So far, the polish one is the worst from the ones I've seen.

Here in Germany, we have a very big, supposedly "neutral" state media. In reality, it's really left leaning.

The most prominent case was last year, reporter Julia Ruhs being kicked out of her show
because she mentioned violence because of increasing migration.

Also, in discussions between politicians, often involving audience questions.
Generally, they only invite left leaning people. There are many clips of the audience only clapping when the
lefties are introduced (example)

These are only some examples of our fundamentally broken state media, which we have to pay 18,36 euros per month for.

There also recently was a petition for fundamental reforms in the state media apparatus, which apparently simply got blocked

Out of curiosity, how left are these German politicians? What are their positions?

Well, one is the co-leader of the party that literally formed out of the Socialist Unity Party of the GDR,
and the other one is the typical lefty; you take an average "labor" politician and mix it with a bit of the
hyped left buzzwords and some environmental stuff.

Wake up and smell the flowers, good buddy. Unfortunately, that’s the modus operandi of all mainstream media and they don’t even try to hide it anymore. Their objective is no longer to investigate and report, but to act as a propaganda machine for the government and corporations. The situation is similar in my case, except instead of left-leaning they lean towards whoever is in charge at the moment.

We also have the dreaded concept of “TV license” where every household must pay a fee to the national media. Supposedly a separate income model assures network’s independent programming, but how exactly am I supposed to believe that if all the chief editors are nearly directly appointed by the government? At this point the politicians basically have a free channel they can use to spread whatever nonsense is on their mind.

It wasn’t so bad when the monthly fee was low, but now it’s over 14 Euros and that’s already good money especially if brainwashing is the only service you get in return. There are now talks again about canceling it and moving this institution under the ministry of culture, but I doubt that even this time anything is going to come out of it. Free money is not something they want to let go.
