...Just an ad for an imageboard?

Really? Is that "imageboard" run by 9front's SJW developers or something?

Hm, I find that rule tiresome but I also feel like there's maybe some reasonably good intention behind it, or at least that it comes from a different place than the old :triggered: business. Maybe I'm just sounding like the sort who should just go and use that site instead but I don't find myself caring. Most of all I'm intrigued that there are ostensibly enough potential users for such a site to be put up in the first place, it's definitely coming from a separate culture, so to speak.

rainchan(tor) exists, so I guess that an imageboard with that sort of ethos has some demand behind it. Their rules are:
5. Don't antagonise over identity politics (e.g. race, gender). Humour is fine.
6. No extremist political content.
Right now although 9larp looks like a present-day :spurdo: newfag type thing I don't mind that it exists. It has to be better than the same people using bluesky. I wonder if/how it will develop.

These rules seem arbitrary and made by someone with a hardon for authoritarianism. What's wrong with hyprland that it can't be discussed? Why can't we talk crypto when it's literally allowing one to unchain himself from banks, etc? (partially). Ban the shilling if you want but keep the serious talk. Who decides what's a low quality rice? Why is some specific theme talk banned? It seems like trolling more than serious rules.

It definitely is trolling more than serious rules. I think it's like a shibboleth.
