Yes, you read that right. Our hitler particles are apparently OFF THE CHARTS. We also stand accused of:

• Being "a right wing instance"
• Featuring "anti vax and anti wikipedia propaganda by the admin"
• Harboring user "daddy" (one of ~4 active users), a known transphobe who once wrote: "Via the software 'Sharkey', which seems to be trannyware, but software is software." (post/582)
• Being "pro grok stuff, including grokipedia"

Truly diabolical stuff. Anti-wikipedia propaganda and grokipedia in the same instance. The horror.

This is why any kind of decentralized and federated "social media" (or really any federated service) is a dead end. You get powertripped braindamaged queers blocking everyone who they don't like, effectively nullifying the whole purpose of federation and then proceed to write verbal meaningless diarrhea to justify it like "hitler particles" (LMAO had no idea that was supposed to be even a real sentence)

If the federation is not taken too seriously and is treated as just a convenient add-on, then IMO it's not a big stain on Lemmy per se.

I'd even say the opposite: mass defederation could be good publicity, especially if it's blamed on those mystical invisible hitler particles 🫠

Indeed, I think that's the right way to look at it.

In fact, I think that a R*ddit/forum-like format is inherently not as well-suited for federation as a "micro blogging" format like Mastodon.

super faggy, i was wondering why there were so little other communities (specifically interesting ones, but considering who this instance was censored by, i doubt there was much intriguing) to join elsewhere

I was thinking, and "bigotry" is one of the most interesting newspeak buzzwords. Bigotry means being closed-minded and intolerant of other views, yet, the people using that word all the time are the actual bigots, since they use the word as a meaningless buzzword to dismiss views they disagree with.

It's far from the only word that got subverted by wokies (or any other group), but this particular one is deeply ironic.

Can you still be on Lemmy and simply not care about the commie instances banning you? Instances like Hilarious Chaos probably won't so it lets you be in a network with them at least.
