This will be a thread similar to the "Mass male sacrifice watchdog" one, except the things that will be covered will be school related, once I encounter them and find them interesting enough. So a few days ago I found a post on reddit that shilled this blogpost which basically explains WHY the school teaching process is not just ineffective, but breaks the child's development. I have never seen the issues presented in this way, but it makes sense.

Plenty of opposite viewpoints stating that the language of the universe is the language of mathematics, and human perception is a limited use tool for world knowledge. And maybe the school is not the best learning environment, but it's good enough, given the limited resources. For every child broken by schools, there are hundreds turned out fine and functional adults. Most people aren't fit for desk work, true, but most people worship women, who in turn worship desk work, so we are bound to get more schooling.

While, I don't fully disagree, I'd say even to funtional exceptional adults, it's a huge loss of potential and a waste of time, instead of an individual cultivating their skills and doing things they actually like and find useful, they waste 12 years of their limited lives of things they might not even use in real life.

The primary purpose of modern schooling is all about comditioning and teaching obedience. These aren't my words, you can go search around the web about people who were educators themselves and way more knowledgeable than i am or could ever be. The second purpose which all people know about is to help and give skills to children.

I guess it's good for the poor parents, but it shows what a money sink the school system is. And even then, only books are subsidized. Everything else including trips the parents have to fund themselves.

Keep this in mind anytime someone says how we can't help the disabled or homeless, or how "there isn't enough young people to work for boomers' retirements". SO MANY other ways costs could be redirected. Teachers are are also earning ~1200 euro monthly, and they want more. They could simply be freed from their burdens if school didn't exist. We do so much useless work it's insane, just to keep up the schooling system and the pretense that everyone must justify their lives.
