From my own experience the only thing I got was bans.

I hosted a site in 3 differenet platforms,

Neocities, "freehosting" site (I forgot its exact name), and codeberg

Neocities hosted my site the most, probably because I was developing it and it didn't mature until later.

That "freehosting" site deleted and banned my site in like very short time (maybe a day or something in the likes).

Codeberg hosted my site for some time, I can't remember exactly.

Then I gave up on free hosting and self hosted it for a while before deleting it myself.

If you are interested in seeing it, archive.org has few pages archived:

Bonus: I stopped using codeberg all together after I got banned, even for getting code.

if it gets popular enough then yes. if you just have a neocities page that nobody has heard about then you'll probably be fine

I say no on the jail part, unless there is something that they can try to get you on. May get you on a list though.

I've come to make an annoucement!

The NSA is a bitch-ass motherfucker! They took down our fucking rights. That's right, they installed their greasy spyware into our devices and struck down our fucking rights! And they said our freedom is "this small", I said "that's un-American!"

So, I'm making a callout post on DigDeeper's forum. NSA, your site is BLOATED. It's like YouTube except WAY laggier.

And guess what? Here's what MY site looks like! *ka-boom*

That's right, Glowies! All text, no <div>, no JS. Look at that, it's like 12kb and one file!

They violated our rights, so guess what? I'm going to post memes online. That's right, this is what you get! YOU AS THE SOYJACK!

Except I'm not just going to make you the Soyjack, I'm gonna go higher...I'm making myself THE CHAD! How do you like that, Donald!? I AM THE CHAD, you idiot!

You have twenty three hours before the Soyjackullllaaates hit reddit.com! Now get out of my sight, before I draw you as the Soyjack too!

I wonder what real rights NSA or any U.S gov entity toke from americans, beside privacy.

Note i said real rights or stuff that are considered right in a capitalist system, not some imaginary made up right like women rights or the mentally disabled rights.

There are no "reals rights" everything needs to be earned and in order to keep what you have you should fight for it, this is how nature works. "Rights" is just a political word used so greedy bureaucrats have an excuse to spend tax payers money to make more money for themselves and their business partners.
