Re: Mass male sacrifice watchdog

Post by digdeeper »

Anyway, I was just reading the "Memorandum on human rights elements" written by some "Council for Europe Commissioner". Predictably it is complaining about "Russian war crimes" for over half the report, and worshipping Ukraine. It takes them until section 47 to cover the violation of human rights by Zelensky. And what do they say there? They at least admit that Ukraine decided to give up on the concept of human rights (which I was surprised by):
47. Since 24 February 2022, Ukraine has declared martial law and announced a general mobilisation. This has been coupled with significant restrictions on human rights. Ukraine has formally derogated from the European Convention on Human Rights.60 The derogation concerns the right to respect for private and family life (Art. 8), freedom of expression (Art. 10), freedom of assembly and association (Art. 11), protection of property (Art. 1 of Protocol 1), right to education (Art. 2 Protocol 1), right to free elections (Art. 3 of Protocol 1), and freedom of movement (Art. 2 of Protocol 4).
And yet they try to justify it later!!!
48. In light of this derogation, the Commissioner stresses that any restrictions on human rights should be strictly required by the exigencies of the situation and must not be inconsistent with the state’s obligations under international law.61 Moreover, the Convention does not allow derogations from the right to life (Art. 2 - except for lawful acts of war), the prohibition of torture and other ill-treatment and the prohibition of slavery (Art. 4). Furthermore, the prohibition of torture and other ill- treatment is absolute and the right to be free from torture and other ill-treatment (Art. 3) cannot be restricted under any circumstances.
The human rights violations are supposedly allowed as long as they are "strictly required by the exigencies of the situation". Meaning they are not "rights" at all. Even the right to life is trashed during "lawful acts of war" which presumably means when "Ukraine is just defending itself!". BTW, the UN says that the right to life and asylum is indispensable, no matter what. So the EU is going against the UN (though the UN doesn't take the right seriously either, which I wrote about).

In sections 50 to 53, the commissioner complains about torture, brutality of military recuiters, or censorship of media and journalists, etc. But the elephant in the room - the dragging of innocent men to war - is completely skipped. They touch on that in section 54:
54. The Commissioner recognises Ukraine’s right to self-defence and the legitimate reasons for human rights restrictions to counter Russia’s aggression. As the peace process advances and Ukraine transitions out of martial law, it should be supported in easing and lifting these restrictions. The Commissioner hopes that, as the first true signs of peace emerge, Ukraine will promptly restore the democratic environment as a whole in full compliance with its international human rights obligations.
Hahaha! Of course, "Ukraine’s right to self-defence" is more important than the sacrifice of hundreds of thousands of males by Zelensky. And totally justified because it "counters Russian aggression". Hey, at least they admit that human rights are supposed to be broken in times of war. I like the honesty.

Next sections talk about what is supposed to happen after war ends, and are particularly cringe:
56. The Commissioner’s view is that reconstruction and recovery efforts should be based on human rights and take into account the different forms that victimisation may take for different groups of people.68 Therefore, these efforts should be inclusive and participatory. Affected communities, especially vulnerable groups such as IDPs, women, families with children, and older persons, should have a voice in decision- making and shape the rebuilding of their lives and environment. This inclusive approach would promote their ownership, trust and long- term sustainability.
Vulnerable groups like IDPs (internally displaced persons), women, children, and older persons? The vulnerable are the so-called "fighting age men" who have been dragged to die! But no care about the "victimisation" of those.
. Particular attention must be paid to women and children, who are often in a vulnerable situation, and at an increased risk of exploitation, violence and discrimination. The recovery process should also include providing psychosocial support, restoring education systems to enable children to continue their normal learning and creating safe spaces for women.69
Same shit again. And just to be clear, I don't mind the support of women or kids affected by war (especially ones who've had their dads/husbands dragged to death). But the truly victimised group needs to be clearly put at the top - which is "fighting age" men (a manipulative term I hate, but it gets the point across, I guess).
58. A key part of Ukraine’s recovery is the support of veterans, who need vocational training, employment and other social support to reintegrate successfully into civilian life. Mental health and psychosocial support services (MHPSS) are also crucial to address the psychological trauma of veterans. By providing these services, Ukraine can ensure the well-being of veterans and contribute to social stability in the recovery process.z
Are there even going to be any "veterans" around after the mass dragging?

Section 64 talks about what is required for Ukraine to be accepted into the EU:
According to the European Commission, Ukraine has made progress in respecting fundamental rights. However, there are some outstanding issues. For example, Ukraine needs to fully implement the Istanbul Convention, adopt legislation on data protection in line with EU acquis, improve prison conditions in line with CPT standards, advance the deinstitutionalisation of adults with disabilities and older persons, and improve the situation of freedom of the media.75 While Ukraine’s post- conflict transition has not yet begun, it is crucial that these issues are addressed.
So GDPR stuff and other minor things are so important, but the mass dragging of innocent men to die is acceptable. Why is the elephant in the room completely ignored? I guess EU must love mass male sacrifice.

Next sections talk about the impact of the war on women:
In that regard, it is important to acknowledge the specific impact conflict has on women and girls. They are disproportionately affected by conflict-related sexual violence, including as a tactic of war; as well as by the loss of health care infrastructure, resulting in a lack of access to critical sexual and reproductive health services. Conflict can also exacerbate existing gaps in gender equality that further disturb women’s lives and livelihoods, including due to forced displacement. Russia’s aggression against Ukraine has resulted in the violation of the right to life of many Ukrainian women as well as their ability to enjoy basic human rights. It put many of them at a particular risk of insecurity, trafficking and violence, including war-related sexual violence, and has had a particularly disproportionate impact on older women and women with disabilities.79
Yes, conflict does indeed exacerbate gender inequality. Because men get dragged to die while the women get to live. No matter what happens to them, it's not worse than getting dragged to die. But of course, since it's men that are the victims, they get ignored. Hell, they even talk about women's "right to life" getting violated. Hello? What about the hundreds of thousands of males dragged to death by Zelensky? This feels like some kind of Matrix.

Next sections complain about "human rights institutions" not getting a seat at the negotiating table or whatever. I'm already tired. But I doubt this would do anything if they don't care about the human male right to not get dragged to die by Zelensky.

As usual in these kinds of documents and initiatives, Zelensky dick-sucking overrides everything else. There literally isn't a single complaint here about innocent men getting dragged to die from bars, or their workplaces, etc (there was a recent story about the military recruiters pretending to need their car fixed, then dragging the mechanic to war...). This can't be an accident, because it is so obvious. Therefore, the conclusion is that all the "human rights institutions" in the world are completely fine with mass male sacrifice.

Thanks for listening to my TED talk!

Zelensky just wrote this cringe public letter to Putin. I don't care to go through it all but it's full of chest-puffing, insults, and threats. Then at some point it asks for a meeting with him. He truly is unhinged. I can't imagine that a serious country leader would act like this and not realize how pathetic he looks. So it makes me believe it's all a trick designed to make it seem like Ukraine has the upper hand in the war, to lengthen his presidental term just a little longer, justify his continuing mass sacrifice, and encourage EU to give him more weapons and send the male refugees from their countries back to Ukraine.

Either way, I can't say I wouldn't like to see the meeting. But I doubt it will happen. Putin will probably flush the letter down the toilet (at least he would if it was a paper version). I mean, I wouldn't bother meeting someone to whom I am the devil personified; I'd even be worried he might attempt an assassination. So yeah, despite the letter claiming Z wants peace, it's not actually going to happen. His "peace" is just "Russia needs to go away already!" and that is simply not something Putin will accept. So we're in for another few months or years of this ride.
