It's actually fucking cool. It has the feauture set I like and works. It's 500 lines of PHP code with a simple installation process and has a retro look. This makes it better than 99% of modern crap where the interface is designed to hijack your attention, uses docker so that it requires a needlessly expensive VPS, and even then is still a pain to setup.

Kek. I was upset with most of the existing options being dumb so I turned to AI in desperation. I sort of expected confirmation that AI is even dumber. But then somehow it spurned out something that is quite to my liking...

Smartphones are abysmal devices designed purely for braindead content consumption that no White person with dignity would use, and them being locked down and spyware'd by Google/Apple is just the cherry on the cake.
As a whole they were a demonic invention that fucked up society and the internet and were a key step in bringing us to our current/coming dystopia, so that alone is a reason to avoid using them out of principle (plus being disgusted by third worlders and zombie normalfags glued to their phones).
But even at an individual level, in practical terms, they're horrible to use for any work more complex than scrolling through TikToks (mainly due to tiny screens and no physical input, and also due to poor software selection), and if you don't have enough discipline to use them in a healthy way, they will eat up your time and rot your brain.
Unless you're a NEET or live in the woods, you may sadly need a smartphone for dystopian society-related things such as banking crApps or WhatsApp, and if you use a smartphone exclusively for that, I'd say that's the only valid use case for smartphones (and at that point, it doesn't matter if they're depozzed or not). Other than that, for 99.9% of people, there's no need to use an extremely shitty internet-connected portable computer.
However... I'm not your dad, and if you love your smartphone, you do you. Most phone slaves have Stockholm syndrome and can't see themselves how shitty those devices are, anyway...
